One day is required to tailor the Bride’s sari. On the day, both are assisted with dressing, which is not so simple! The bride will have 2 helpers to help her get ready and wear the traditional attire. After which, the first the official part follows. The registrar begins the ceremony and the documents are signed.

The ceremony takes place either on the beach or in the garden! The bride and groom are led by dancers and singers to a festively decorated pedestal, which are followed by incantations and good wishes.

The blessing of the master of ceremonies takes place; begging leaves must be thrown to the ground - each connected with a good wish for the future.
The little fingers are tied together and shed with holy water. A burning coconut is smashed and holy candles are lit.
